Leisure Yamaha Marine & Motorcycle
Leisure Yamaha was started by Barry Loppnow in East London in August 1991. Initially it was a Yamaha Marine dealership only, called Berea Yamaha Marine, with a small staff comprising of Barry and his mother, working together with two workshop staff.
In 1996, larger premises were needed, and the business was moved to Gonubie, the name was changed to Leisure Marine, and Barry's sisters, Lindee, and then Wendy, joined the business.
In 2004, Leisure Yamaha was awarded the Yamaha Motorcycle dealership to add to the marine dealership, which led to the hunt for new premises which would ultimately see Leisure Yamaha Marine and Motorcycle move into new, custom-built premises in Beacon Bay, East London in June 2005.
Seventeen years after it's initial opening, Leisure Yamaha now occupies premises which feature a stunning glass-fronted showroom and a lit yard for night-time viewing of boats and motorcycles. Leisure Yamaha also have two separate workshops for the servicing and repair of boats and outboards on the marine side, and bikes and quads on the motorcycle side.
Leisure Yamaha's showroom is stocked with new and used boats, outboards and WaveRunners, bikes, quads and generators, as well as accessories, clothing and spares. |
